YungShin Social Welfare Foundation
In 1952, Founder of Yung Shin Pharmaceutical Group – Mr. Tian-Te Lee (1923–2006) began his journey in the pharmaceutical industry by managing Yung Shin Western Pharmacy. Driven by the belief that a robust pharmaceutical industry is essential to safeguarding public health, he went on to establish Yung Shin Pharmaceutical Industrial Co., Ltd. in 1965. Guided by the mission to “provide the best medicines and enhance human health,” he dedicated himself to the company’s steady development with diligence and integrity.
In 1978, embodying the spirit of compassion and the corporate philosophy of “giving back to society what is taken from it,” Yung Shin Pharmaceutical Industrial Co., Ltd. founded the Yung Shin Social Welfare Foundation under the motto “No illness during the course of treatment.” The foundation was established to contribute to public well-being, improve quality of life, and help build a peaceful and harmonious society. It has since been actively engaged in initiatives supporting the welfare of the elderly, youth, children, and infants, as well as persons with disabilities, low-income families, and patients in financial hardship. Through charitable social welfare programs, the foundation gradually brings to life the founder’s vision of a “borderless garden.”
Looking ahead, the Yung Shin Social Welfare Foundation will continue to uphold Mr. Lee's belief in social responsibility, focusing on the depth and breadth of elderly care, giving back to the community, and serving society with compassion and dedication.
